Countdown
Introduction:
Countdown is both a standard stopwatch timer and a countdown timer. Use
Countdown for all of your timing needs. Countdown features both count
up and countdown timers, 99 lap snapshots, custom alarm sound for the
countdown timer, and the ability to keep the palm always on while the
timer is running. The timers even keep correct time while the palm is
turned off or you run a different application! Countdown is the easy to use timer program that will meet
all of your timing needs. Supports both monochrome and color devices.
Also completely supports Palm OS 5. This program includes free lifetime
updates!
Directions:
Countdown features two modes of operation, stopwatch and countdown. To
switch between the two modes, tap the "Mode" button while the timer is
stopped. The current mode is displayed in the upper right side of the
screen.
Stopwatch Mode:
Stopwatch mode functions like your standard stopwatch. Press the
"Start" button to start the timer counting up. When the timer is
running the "Start" button becomes the "Stop" button. Press the "Stop"
button to stop the timer. Press the "Reset" button to reset the timer
back to 00:00:00. By tapping the "Lap" button while the timer is
running a lap snapshot will be added to the list directly below the
timer. Up to 99 lap snapshots may be taken at any one time.
Countdown Mode:
Countdown mode functions as a timer that counts from an initial time
down to zero. Once it hits zero the program sounds your alarm to notify
you that the time is up. To set the
initial time, simply tap on the digit of the counter to increase it by
one. Press the "Start" button to start the timer counting down.
When the
timer
is running the "Start" button becomes the "Stop" button. Press the
"Stop" button to stop the timer. Press the "Reset" button once to reset
the
timer back to your initial setting and again to reset it back to
00:00:00. By tapping the "Lap" button while the timer is running a lap
snapshot
will be added to the list directly below the timer. Up to 99 lap
snapshots may be taken at any one time.
Preferences:
The preferences settings is located under the "Options" menu. The
"Alarm Sound" preference allows you to choose the alarm to play when a
countdown timer finishes. The "Auto-off" setting allows you to turn off
the palm's auto-off feature while the program is running. This way the
palm will not turn itself off while you are timing something. Uncheck
the box to turn off the auto-off.
