BackupMan v1.2 Release Notes:

Changes and Updates since v1.1:

  • Added preference to keep all daily backups
  • Added help text to Preferences form
  • Added free space check before manual backup
  • Added code to remove invalid chars from automatically generated filenames. This was a problem on Chinese and Japanese ROMS.
  • Added list of files that will not be backed up with brief explanation to Tools menu
  • Added warning when copying BackupMan to expansion card that it must also remain in RAM
  • Added message about automated backups not running if BackupMan is executed from an expansion Card
  • BackupMan will no longer perform any automated operations if you are holding the PageUp Key when they start
  • BackupMan will no longer power off after manual backups. The "Power off after backup" setting is only used for automated backups
  • Changed shortcut for Set Information from 'i' to 'n' to be compatible with Graffiti2
  • Fixed compatibility issue with Palm's "Tungsten Audio Patch"
  • Fixed problem where changing daily schedule time would _always_ set schedule starting next day
  • Fixed a problem where BackupMan couldn't restore a file if it existed in the device's ROM
  • Fixed problem where device would power off after every HotSync operation
  • Fixed "show next backup time" code to look at which days backups are supposed to occur

  • Fixed problem with BackupMan expiring on 2003-01-15. BackupMan will not expire again. Sorry everyone, it was left over from our beta testing.
  • Fixed soft reset when user was holding UP key at start of Automated Backup
  • Fixed problem with scheduling system if you selected hourly backups to occur less often than every 9 hours
  • Added a menu option on the main screen to display the time of their next scheduled backup
  • Added button on schedule form to display the time of their next scheduled backup

  • BackupMan will now create /Palm/Launcher directory on a card if it doesn't exist
