If you have the file "poweronXXX.zip", then you have the Registered version.
If you have the file "podemoXXX.zip", then you have the Demo version. The Demo version is a fully-functional time-limited version. It will only work for only 20 times. After 20 times of powering on the device, PowerOn will stop working.
If you like it, you can purchase it from http://XvisionNow.tripod.com.
PowerOn is the power saver tool for your Palm. It helps to increase your battery life by preventing unwanted power on and auto-dimming your screen during inactivity.
PowerOn prevents your Palm from switching on by an accidental press of a hardware button. This is especially common when you place your Palm in your bag or pocket. These unwanted power on will waste the battery power. Worse, pen taps or key presses may corrupt your data when your Palm is on, or your battery may be completely drained and all your data is lost.
PowerOn is designed to solve this problem. With PowerOn, you will need to press the same hardware button (the power button or the four app buttons) twice within 1 second to switch on your Palm. This double button-pressing will stop your Palm from switching on by accident.
In addition, you can stop any hard button or an alarm from switching on your Palm. Finally, to further conserve battery power, the backlight is disabled when your Palm is not switched on.
PowerOn incorporates the innovative Auto-DimTM technology. If your Palm is not used for a user-defined inactivity period, Auto-Dim will activate and your Palm screen's backlight will be turn off to conserve battery power. Auto-Dim will detect your next pen tap or key press and turn on the backlight to allow you to see your screen clearly.
Auto-Dim enhances the built-in Auto-Off feature. In the past, you may use a short Auto-Off inactivity period to conserve battery power. The disadvantage is that you face the frustrations of having your Palm turned off too soon before you can complete your task. This forces you to press the power switch again and again. With Auto-Dim, you can now use a longer Auto-Off inactivity period without worrying about wasting battery power. Auto-Dim will conserve your battery by turning on your backlight when you need it and turning it off when you don't need it.

In the Button Setup section, you will need to decide how you want each button to switch on your device. By default, all the buttons will require double-presses to switch on your device. The number 2 represents double-press.
When a button which has been enabled for double-press is first pressed, your Palm screen will come on (with no backlight) and then wait for the next button press for one second. If you do not press the same button again during this one second, your Palm will switch off. However, if you do press again, your Palm will switch on with the backlight enabled.
If you like to switch on your device with a single press of the Leftmost button, you need to tap on the inverted triangle next to the word "Leftmost". Then select Single from the pop-up list that appears. The number 1 will now be shown next to "Leftmost". Now, your leftmost button will behave in the same normal way before PowerOn is enabled.
If you wish to completely prevent the Leftmost button from switching on your Palm, you need to select Off in the pop-up list. An X will be shown next to "Leftmost". Now, you will not be able to switch on your Palm using the Leftmost button.
If you want to stop alarms from switching on your Palm, then select the "Stop Alarm" checkbox. The alarms will appear when you next switch on your device. Do note that the alarms may take a while to appear; it will appear when the 5-minute reminder period is up.
If you want to stop other wakeup not caused by an alarm or a button-press, then select the "Stop Other" checkbox.
You need to set the Auto-Dim inactivity period and Auto-Off inactivity period. If Auto-Dim is not set to Never, your Palm will be dimmed after it has not been used for the selected time. Similarly for Auto-Off except your Palm will be switched off after inactivity.
Normally, you will set the Auto-Dim period to be shorter than the Auto-Off period. Your Palm will be dimmed after a short period of inactivity to conserve battery while standing by for your next input. Then after a long period of inactivity, your Palm will be switched off.
A 10-second Auto-Dim period and a 3-minute Auto-Off period are suggested.
Do note that if the Auto-Off period is shorter than the Auto-Dim period, Auto-Dim is effectively disabled. Your Palm will be switched off without going though the dimmed state. Also, the Auto-Off period in PowerOn will over-ride the Auto-Off option in the built-in Preferences application. You should not use the Preferences or any other application to change the Auto-Off period. Doing so will prevent Auto-Dim from working.
After starting your lengthy task, enter the Graffiti command character to display the command toolbar. Tap on the light bulb icon on the toolbar. You will see the message "Auto-Dim Off". (You do not need to be in the PowerOn screen to enter the Graffiti command character.) When you are ready to re-enable Auto-Dim, you can use the command toolbar again and tap on the same light bulb icon. You will see the message "Auto-Dim On".
When your device is switched on from a power off state, Auto-Dim will always be enabled. This way you do not need to worry that you have previously forgot to re-enable Auto-Dim after disabling it.
Note: Disabling Auto-Dim does not affect the Auto-Off function. The Graffiti command character is like writing a forward slash '/' on your Graffiti screen.
