Screenshots of styles
This document shows screenshots and descriptions of the various
styles that are included with this package. To use these styles,
locate the .PDB database file for the style you want and install
it with the standard PalmOS install tool. To access the file
you have installed, launch OmniRemote, choose Databases from the
advanced menu then select and load the database. You can use
the style exactly as it is (for example the TiVo style), or you
can use copy and paste to move the individual buttons or screen
backgrounds into your existing database (a database is a file
that contains your remote layouts and training).
If you don't see what you want here, you can create your own
styles, or possibly download them or get them from other
people.
Do not attempt to install 320x320 styles on devices without 320x320
screens (at the time of this writing only certain Sony Clie models
have these screens). If you do so by accident you may be unable
to launch OmniRemote. See the section Databases in manual version
2.01 or greater for information on how to solve this problem if it
occurs.
Gel style
This style comes in high resolution (320x320) and low resoloution
(160x160) versions.
TiVo style
This style comes in high resolution (320x320) and low resoloution
(160x160) versions.
It consists of an image of the TiVo remote with transparent
buttons sitting on top of it. These buttons are already
pre-trained for the Philips TiVo. The only buttons that require
training are the ones for your TV (i.e. power, volume and mute).
Spooky style
These spooky images can be used as screen or button backgrounds.
This style also contains a re-sizable red button frame which is
not shown. (RedScruffFrame)
Watercolor style
This colorful image can be used as a screen or button background.
This style also makes a nice marbly background for black and white
devices.
PlainBGs style
These simple colored squares can be used as screen
or button backgrounds.
Shapes style
The shapes below are shown in blue, however there are also
gold grey and red versions which are not shown. There are also
versions pre-sized for use on low-res and high-res screens.
Because these buttons are not re-sizable, they are supplied in
various convenient sizes.
