Rename this file to .zip, and extract it : G* O- n. ~& D6 c: l
set the Konami code on your pre (upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart), and put it into dev mode. Plug it into your windows laptop after it's booted , i# n4 ~6 ^# J5 d6 I2 c/ O
Run the driver installer from the extracted file, it is: webosdoctorp100ewwsprint/resources/NovacomInstaller_x86.msi 9 e) ^* d- C. G" [; O$ H. g" T0 ^
Install Python 2.6
1 o$ t$ P4 O# l. |Get the rooter from subversion: http://svn.saurik.com/repos/webos-dev/trunk/rooter/
- p9 r- n: q3 URun talk.py inside of the rooter in subversion, it'll output a bunch of lines. If you see an error, join the irc (irc.freenode.net #webos-internals) ) E* v& N# h! J v, C; S6 w5 z
Turn on the wifi on your pre. Get your pre's IP address, and you can telnet into it (username: root)

click through the installer

At this point you should have root
5 \ \# a) V+ e6 qOnce you've done this, you can add a permanent backdoor by following the instructions on the wiki backdoor and then you can disable developer mode, but still have access to the Pre over the wifi link- 6 u4 w* F7 F/ F1 e' L) Q
