昨天发现破解/开发小组的网站关掉了.今天看到了正式的声明

6 j, f6 i! T S( S. N大家都知道,自Pre发布后(尤其是treo8.com的King发现了官方的ROM后).全球最热心的破解爱好者在一个wiki架构的网站和IRC沟通方式的帮助下对Pre进行了比较彻底的剖析.并交流自己的发现和进展。。
1 t/ U3 S* f! p0 K但是这项还在进行中的工作受到了阻碍.目前已经暂停.5 ` y/ n+ k, S
$ ]; n4 j: ? _主要是Sprint向Palm投诉.破解者们考虑到要与PALM维护比较好的沟通关系,所以暂停了通过wiki和IRC来做沟通的方式.0 V$ t, a3 \- |# J& C7 F" e) M
一旦有其他管得松的CDMA PRE或是Unlock的GSM出现在市场上.相关的工作就可以公开继续.但目前看来这项工作可能不得不等到明年2月份(预计那个时候会有未锁网的gsm 版 pre上市). @6 E8 U5 U6 {+ K" W
目前只能私下进行罗

本来近期工作已经进行到以Pre为猫,带电脑上网的步骤了.相信这项工作对于Sprint的影响很大,所以他们直接向Palm提出了反对意见,Palm不得不出现干预...

) T/ E' D$ ^7 G" qWe got confirmation of two things today: how Palm feels about the burgeoning unofficial Pre developer community, and who wears the pants in the Palm-Sprint relationship. The folks over at Pre Dev Wiki, who have been busy tearing open the recovery tool ROM received the following message from Palm:6 j$ u# e9 a; Y" @: e6 G/ }
We have been politely cautioned by Palm that any discussion of tethering during the Sprint exclusivity period (and perhaps beyond—we don't know yet) will probably cause Sprint to complain to Palm, and if that happened then Palm would be forced to react against the people running the IRC channel and this wiki.6 U: c# a8 a) X/ Y: @' B: {) O- A- a
We want to retain a good relationship with Palm, hence we are not allowing discussion of tethering on the IRC channel, or in this wiki.. B* W& [' {) y2 \- R" \" v
Note that Sprint does not have a plan available for use with the Pre which allows tethering under the Terms Of Service.0 H! W) `% Z y* @
Once there is a version of the Pre available for a carrier that does allow tethering, or an unlocked GSM version, then we may be able to change this policy.
9 {1 y, m: ]4 u% Y+ g$ _8 T The answers the two above questions: Palm tolerates, or even likes, that there’s this developer community, but Sprint wears the pants and Palm would rather not get in a fight with their white knight carrier. It’s too bad, because it was starting to feel like we were mere weeks, or even days, away from getting tethering to work. We can just hope that Sprint will see the demand and allow Palm to enable tethering like they said they would up until February.( ?3 J; x" o5 |: Q2 z& G
