从Palm Desktop导出联系人到G版Pre

小弟刚刚在英国入手O2的Pre一台，开始进入从650到Pre的过渡阶段，发现头一个问题就是联系人，以前的Palm Desktop里面有很多联系人的数据，我想请问一下论坛的各位老大以及已经入手Pre的XDJM，有没有什么办法能够把Palm Desktop的联系人数据导出来，然后导入到Pre里面呢？

The DTA is not synchronization software. It is an export tool. After your your data is moved, you will set up a sync relationship between your phone and Google, Microsoft Exchange, Facebook, or your Palm profile account.

Skip this step if you already have set up a Google account on your phone, or if you want to sync with Microsoft Exchange, or just back up your data to your Palm Profile.

First, get a Google account

This ensures that your data transfers correctly to the account.

Open the application menu and tap Preferences & Accounts.
Tap Add An Account and select Google.
Enter your Google (or Gmail) username and password for that account.
Sync your old device one last time

" ~$ B+ Y# u) [0 wSkip this step if you do not have a previous Palm device.

To make sure you have the most up-to-date version of your data in Palm Desktop or standalone Outlook, synchronize your previous Palm device and your computer one last time.

Export your data using the Data Transfer Assistant

Download the tool

Data_Transfer_Assistant_1_1.exe

After the download is complete, double-click Data_Transfer_Assistant_1_1.exe in the location on your computer where you downloaded it.

Follow the onscreen instructions.

NOTE When you connect the phone to your computer some applications may launch automatically, moving the DTA to the background. To return the DTA to the foreground, click the DTA icon on your computer’s taskbar.

You may be asked to choose Palm Desktop or Outlook

  C9 |; A0 u/ B  m; b) W2 qIf the DTA finds a valid version of both Palm Desktop and Outlook on your computer, you'll be able to select the one you want to export data from. You can only export data from one source at a time, but you can run the DTA again and pick the other one. Do not run the DTA on the first set of data again, or you may duplicate records on your phone.

2 }+ `% }9 j# T1 E/ }* INOTE If you use Palm Desktop, and if the DTA finds more than one profile, select the profile that is associated with the data you want to transfer. Your profile is in the upper-right corner of Palm Desktop ("User:").

The tool will finish exporting data to your phone

Follow the onscreen instructions. The DTA transfers your data to your phone.

% o$ O* {# t* ?  Y4 t  @. dWhen the data export has finished, safely eject your phone from the computer, and click Quit in the DTA.

The data is now on your phone, but it's not yet linked to an online account.

Your phone will ask where you want to store your transferred contacts, calendar events, tasks, and memos.

3 U  ?2 `0 F" e; U& n4 EIf you set up a Google account above, select Google. Or pick another option. Give this choice a little thought. It may affect your future ability to manage and export information displayed on your phone. We can help you choose. How do I decide which to select: Google, Microsoft Exchange or Palm Profile?

' E5 d) z% V* C2 dIMPORTANT Give your phone time to complete the transfer, up to 10 minutes or more if you have a lot of contacts. See: How to check the progress of data transfer while using the tool.

CAUTION If you decide to cancel the transfer, do it before you complete the next step. Open the application menu, tap Cancel Import, and then tap Delete Transferred Data.

' k! `& g1 h7 @Your phone processes the data you transferred. It uses the Palm Synergy feature to bring your calendars, contacts and other information together, making it easier to find what you need.

Tap the circular icon on the lower-right of the screen to see a notification describing the progress of the data import. When it's finished, Data Transfer Complete appears at the bottom of the screen.

IMPORTANT The data processing happens application by application and can take anywhere from a few minutes to one hour. Give your phone time to complete this step.

NOTE If you encounter problems while running the DTA, wait an hour or more before running it again. If you do run the DTA again to transfer the same set of data, you are very likely to get duplicates. For suggestions on how to manage duplicate contacts, see I have duplicate contacts.
