从Palm Desktop导出联系人到G版Pre

小弟刚刚在英国入手O2的Pre一台，开始进入从650到Pre的过渡阶段，发现头一个问题就是联系人，以前的Palm Desktop里面有很多联系人的数据，我想请问一下论坛的各位老大以及已经入手Pre的XDJM，有没有什么办法能够把Palm Desktop的联系人数据导出来，然后导入到Pre里面呢？

我知道Pre用了WebOS，很多Treo时代的东西都不能用了，但是还是抱着一丝希望，想问问

' f& Q1 G8 }9 @5 `7 j7 I6 WThe DTA is not synchronization software. It is an export tool. After your your data is moved, you will set up a sync relationship between your phone and Google, Microsoft Exchange, Facebook, or your Palm profile account.

If you currently use Gmail by Google, then you also have a Google Calendar and Google Contacts account. Your info will sync with these web services.

Then add the Google account to your phone

Enter your Google (or Gmail) username and password for that account.

Skip this step if you do not have a previous Palm device.

After the download is complete, double-click Data_Transfer_Assistant_1_1.exe in the location on your computer where you downloaded it.

Follow the onscreen instructions.

" W) b6 J* {5 h, M7 K9 a) RIf the DTA finds a valid version of both Palm Desktop and Outlook on your computer, you'll be able to select the one you want to export data from. You can only export data from one source at a time, but you can run the DTA again and pick the other one. Do not run the DTA on the first set of data again, or you may duplicate records on your phone.

NOTE If you use Palm Desktop, and if the DTA finds more than one profile, select the profile that is associated with the data you want to transfer. Your profile is in the upper-right corner of Palm Desktop ("User:").

Import the data to your phone and an online account

The tool will finish exporting data to your phone

When the data export has finished, safely eject your phone from the computer, and click Quit in the DTA.

Choose an online destination for your data

The data is now on your phone, but it's not yet linked to an online account.

& ]7 S' ?( ?7 ~' X9 W4 a% HYour phone will ask where you want to store your transferred contacts, calendar events, tasks, and memos.

2 f( @" M/ q9 w- X  a9 mIf you set up a Google account above, select Google. Or pick another option. Give this choice a little thought. It may affect your future ability to manage and export information displayed on your phone. We can help you choose. How do I decide which to select: Google, Microsoft Exchange or Palm Profile?

+ L$ J/ J1 m! A9 z/ h, @+ {IMPORTANT Give your phone time to complete the transfer, up to 10 minutes or more if you have a lot of contacts. See: How to check the progress of data transfer while using the tool.

( T: U& ?6 Z8 OCAUTION If you decide to cancel the transfer, do it before you complete the next step. Open the application menu, tap Cancel Import, and then tap Delete Transferred Data.

The Palm Synergy feature converts and links your data

' \& T3 r$ Y% n- U3 b& r- A& AYour phone processes the data you transferred. It uses the Palm Synergy feature to bring your calendars, contacts and other information together, making it easier to find what you need.

/ `: ^& c2 ^& K( t7 @Tap the circular icon on the lower-right of the screen to see a notification describing the progress of the data import. When it's finished, Data Transfer Complete appears at the bottom of the screen.

% [7 |8 D7 C* L2 W/ e2 M2 PIMPORTANT The data processing happens application by application and can take anywhere from a few minutes to one hour. Give your phone time to complete this step.

9 g  t( x8 W5 A% g- N% B3 v- FTo see if the data transfer is working, you can check for imported information on various apps on your phone. See How to check the progress of data transfer while using the tool.

NOTE If you encounter problems while running the DTA, wait an hour or more before running it again. If you do run the DTA again to transfer the same set of data, you are very likely to get duplicates. For suggestions on how to manage duplicate contacts, see I have duplicate contacts.
