Beta testers getting bored in public and whipping out their Pre seems to be Palm’s Achilles heel right now. The device has already been seen cavorting in open air, together with running what appears to be Sprint’s YouTube application.# ^3 o8 v; m- q" C! F" M# s

Of course, the sightings tell us little about the actual functionality of the phone (”Hey, is that a slide-out QWERTY keyboard? The Pre has one of those?!”) but do suggest that we’re rapidly approaching a stable hardware and software build and, thus, a launch. Palm continues to reiterate their “first half of the year” launch schedule, giving them just over two months to push the Pre out of the door. |
