 Rumor: The UK's Guardian Newspaper is reporting that the Kingdom's largest carrier, O2, has secured an exclusive deal to sell the Palm Pre. Calling it the next must-have gadget, this new report backs up a claim from back in March that Telefónica would offer the device in Spain and Latin America on Movistar and under its O2 brand in the UK. 9 }8 g* f- F2 u: E6 Y9 f

Undoubtedly this will be for the GSM version of the WebOS powered Palm Pre. Palm execs have confirmed numerous times that a GSM version is in the works and showed off such a device at the 2009 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Guardian article does not name a date or price but it does state that it ill be available in the UK before Christmas.* g/ I5 M7 t' t
