本人英语水平不高,大致看个明白,翻译实在不行。有好心人翻译下 让更多的人看明白,让我们的论坛火起来Meet the Calendar on the Pre
- s+ z( N$ S2 D, c8 i3 K* P4 S/ ~Much like the webOS address book, which displays all the information available from multiple different sources, like Google, FaceBook, and Microsoft Exchange servers, the calendar works the same way. Palm Pre’s webOS can pull calendar information from a variety of sources and display it all together, with entries color-coded by their source (by default, blue for Palm, green for Google, and yellow for FaceBook events). If all of this information at once sounds a bit overwhelming, don’t worry, you can choose to display or hide the data from the individual sources. When there’s an event scheduled from a calendar that’s being hidden, its time slot is  a slightly different shade, so that you know there’s something happening then.5 _* ~2 o# f2 B; P! p
But I’m getting ahead of myself here… let’s start by opening the calendar first;8 T9 A. T* \2 G1 K" ?' C

/ W5 V. Y& s) k% d" `+ o; GThat’s what month view and week view look like. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s dive into my afternoon today, shall we?% Q# p3 g0 {( y$ h; V3 C2 }
4 P* m) B& G7 a) K. H3 Y
You can select which calendar sources you want to have displayed by tapping on the button that reads “All” at the top right of the screen. For my purposes I’m leaving it at “All” but here’s what it looks like.3 l2 }1 z4 q: Y1 y( l

3 t. ^% Q7 P. ]" y, D1 V4 ?
: P& y3 H& Y$ X0 n( A# a) x/ I9 p) l: |4 I* Z2 i" X
Like I mentioned above, the green items by default are from your Google calendar, the yellow is from FaceBook, and blue is from your Palm profile but more on that later. Let’s check on my lunch date with Sam.
% P; k! H* H! r4 |$ P: S, ^# {. l6 l( v' e
All of this information was grabbed from my Google calendar but it is completely editable on the Pre’s calendar and it would sync back and update on Google.
# w: G( z5 y+ x3 i+ T* ~' f% E8 p9 h. T# |. W2 R: m* ?
Now say you want to create a new even right in your phone. Well you can do that one of two ways… by tapping on an empty slot or going into the application and selecting “New” and then “Event.”
2 v/ G3 b' [+ E
; f$ z- R) b  v$ t3 @Begin by filling out the information, like I did below,
% x& X% U  P$ y; v7 H
3 r& @0 R. ~# @0 f+ dThe event will default to my default calendar account, which for me is Google but instead of having it listed on my Google, I’d rather have it filed under my Palm profile… and that’s easy. Tap on the “Google” button up towards the top right and change it!8 _! ]# H0 |1 Q' F, E
, m$ h  ^, E* R' B
See how easy that was? And now it appears in the empty slot;
4 _8 Z) v$ [. Q$ W8 B5 E+ s2 d7 E1 n! J# l* N' ?# z6 c4 Q
Here’s what the Preferences/Settings look like for the Calendar:
9 N  H# m) j6 @5 r( Z3 \
, d$ m6 o) `6 Q$ nAs you can see, you can, like with the contacts, sync at any time manually or instead just wait a couple of minutes for the phone to do it for you.6 ~5 |. a- s8 }. y) n$ o$ A

% f+ R3 F9 J: a7 t, `  bAnother app, another day, another reason to love Palm and having waited (not so patiently) for the Pre.

Universal Search Supports Twitter (搜索支持Twitter )

请高人翻译 以飨读者Universal Search Supports Twitter- Z/ Q5 V/ C% }  a# L
I put a note in the back of my mind two days ago to show this to you guys but you know how life goes… you get busy and then forget what you had sworn you’d remember to do… that is, until someone else reminds you of it and then all of the sudden you say, “Crap, how did I forget to do that?”3 [$ u  \" c9 R5 @9 k5 Q
While digging around webOS aimlessly like I do most days now, something caught my attention. At the home screen, I started typing away to test out the Universal Search and have it scour through my memos, tasks and emails and the like and besides the familiar Google, Google Maps and Wikipedia search options below my text, I saw Twitter! Yes, Twitter!
( l% s! `: o( g' C9 J
  ^8 |% s9 d: t5 R- Q" ~" }  EAnd of course, I proceeded to test it. After typing in “palm goon” and tapping the twitter search option, I got this:
, K, Z1 ^0 m4 V4 V* t; v3 V9 L6 p( T
Yes, it opened up a card for the web browser and showed me the search results. Also worth noting is that when I tapped on one of those links in the search results, it didn’t just go to that page. No. It opened up another browser card, leaving the one I was on open in the background.
/ O  s6 O  g/ v5 W. d9 E& ]For me this isn’t only interesting but also useful because I find myself using Twitter more and more these days. It’s become almost like a news feed for a lot of us, not to mention a quick and easy way to stay in touch and up to date with family and friends from all over. Nice one, Palm. Nice indeed.
% f6 {$ f3 B7 l* @  U. C5 w% E6 z& ?PS.
4 |- i# O! t4 c, g4 {( Y0 `Anyone else think that large space below Twitter can be used to add more search options? Hm….$ z! r7 i2 N( a/ l# i/ x
