, E! v% C6 E1 V5 E' m* DTutorial Sections:[url=]Install Eclipse[/url]- Download Eclipse here: http://www.eclipse.org/downloadsWe downloaded the Java Developers edition. If you want you can go forthe JEE version, but you probably won’t need it for webOS development. |; F. n4 o: P7 M! u
- Extract Eclipse to the location of your choice and run eclipse.exe(for Windows anyway). What… did you expect us to get a Mac just forthis tutorial?
- When you start Eclipse you will be asked to create a workspace. You can put this anywhere you like.
) r# }+ F. B- n5 F+ W( U" b) E - The first time you run Eclipse you will get to a welcome screen. Click on Go to Workbench.
/ L& {% s k- w! } [url=]Install the webOS Plug-in[/url]Now that you have Eclipse installed you just need to install thePlug-in. This is pretty easy as we will leverage Eclipse’s SoftwareUpdate service.

- Click “Add Site” on the Available Software Tab

- Make sure the Plug-in is in the list and checked and click Install(To speed things up we unchecked everything else except our plug-in).
/ x$ U; u" |8 q& {5 t8 I$ q - Once you click install you will see a progress bar and eventually awindow that confirms you want to install the webOS Plug-in. Make sureit is checked and click Next.3 r( j, X8 o J% o/ Y4 h" I* J
- We have released this using the GPL v3 License. If you want thedetails you can go to the address in the window. Agree to the licenseand then click Finish.
& r0 s) | A8 m( e - Almost done! Once the progress bar is completed you will see amessaging asking you to restart Eclipse. Click Yes. When Eclipsestarts back up open the same workspace you created earlier and you areready to create a new webOS Project.
! z' Z0 X6 v" z9 ^0 I$ [, ^ [url=]Create a New webOS Project[/url]Once the Plug-in is installed and you have restarted Eclipse, you are ready to create a project.
3 W! k W8 k2 r1 u" P- Z) @! S- Right Click (I know… you Mac people have some other way of rightclicking) on the Package Explorer Window and select New -> Project.

- Enter the name of your project and click Finish.
9 B% d5 l4 E/ A9 f+ G: Y; m - You now have a webOS Project in Eclipse. OK so it won’t work justyet without the webOS scripts, but since you have used the update sitefrom Eclipse we will make updates as they become available and you willalways have access to the most recent webOS code.
