OS升级与EPR (Emergency Patch Recovery)

最近大家都在升级1.3吧. 升级前需要把先前安装的补丁和主题统统去掉.
从前1.1升1.2的时候, 我是土鳖的直接手动一个一个去掉的.

在新版中我发现了这样一个按钮: "EPR"
7 }% E9 i1 D4 x6 [) ^2 {开始觉得有点眼熟, 在哪里见过, 但印象不深了.
: R: b/ l; e  N  hgoogle之后发现EPR=emergency patch recovery. 这个可以用来一次性去掉所有补丁.
不知道我土鳖了没有, 以前记得在preware里面看见过这个epr, 但他要求先卸载theme, 我嫌麻烦, 就没理他.
今天趁着升级的机会试了一下, 确实是个不错的补丁. 一键确实可以去掉所有补丁.

) \8 K  `( A* X, H不过从update log来看, 确实是2.9版本才加到webos quick install里面来的.

Preload很久前就有了。preware是新版本才有了这个去补丁。建议升级前先运行这个。

/ B" e2 g6 B* a( @Before updating to a new version of webOS, it is very important tofollow certain procedures. Here is an outline of the recommended way toupdate your webOS when you use Patches (and/or Themes) installed via Preware. Deviating from this procedure could cause unwanted results.

• 1. Open Preware and select Installed Packages.
• 2. Remove any Theme(s) you have installed. There SHOULD only be one...
• 3. Go back to the main menu and select "List of Everything" and search for "Emergency".
• 4. Select and install "Emergency Patch Recovery". Note: This will remove all patches. Please read the description.
  • After it completes (might take a couple minutes), choose"Update Feeds" from the App Menu (top left corner). Then go back tomain menu and "Installed Packages".
    • If "Patches" IS NOT listed as a category, go to step 5.
    • If "Patches" IS listed as a category, select it and remove any patches still installed. Then continue to step 5.
• 5. If you have Luna Manager installed, start it and "Restart Luna". If not, reboot your phone.
• 6. Update webOS. :)
• 7. Fire up Preware and bring down the App Menu (top left corner).
• 8. Select Update Feeds.
• 9. Continue on to reinstalling your Patches/Theme.
• 10. Thank the webOS-Internals group!

For advanced users: You can dump a list of installed packagesusing the following technique before running the Emergency PatchRecovery (EPR) tool. This assumes you already have shell access to youryour Pre via novaterm or ssh.

• 1. Ssh into your Pre (you do not need to adopt root privileges)
• 2. Type (no quotes) "ipkg -o /var list_installed | greppatches". This will display the list of patches applied to your Pre.You can redirect this output to a file or copy-and-paste it from yourshell window.
