The last we heard about a GSM webOS products in the U.S. was FCC documents, and scattered rumours of a May 10 launch, but analyst Peter Misek from Canaccord Adams thinks the Pre and Pixi (Plus?) will not land until the summer. The delay comes from AT&T (NYSE: T)’s end, apparently, who has a laundry list of technical problems with the devices that Palm (NSDQ: PALM) needs to fix This is bad news for Palm, who, despite some interesting new developer tools for 3D games and a new marketing campaign, Palm is still not doing so great in sales.

Palm Pre and Pixi Plus made their debut on Verizon with a few marginal upgrades – a bit of extra RAM, some added storage memory, and ditching the nipple in the gesture area.; in short, nothing to really write home about, but there’s no reason to assume AT&T wouldn’t get the most recent handset from Palm if they are, in fact, getting anything at all. Obviously landing a deal with Verizon (NYSE: VZ) was a good move for Palm, but even though VZ is the biggest carrier in the U.S., there are still other carriers to hit up. Once AT&T is offering a webOS device, it will just be T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) that’s left without something.- a) g5 Z9 q0 i2 |- u# @

In any case, here’s still hoping Palm can pull it together, although I’m getting the impression they’re doing all they can but are still drowning regardless.
