zune

still don't like the new firmware, and have been searching for a way to downgrade. Here is a way that worked for me!
还是不喜欢新的固件，所以一直找方法进行降级，这里介绍一个我自己成功的方法。

FIRST: This only works with 30GB ZUNES! Don't attempt to install on any other ZUNE!
第一：这方法只对zune 30g版本有效，请不要尝试把这个方法用在其他zune上面。
ALSO: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR ZUNE IN THE PROCESS OF THIS. IF YOU MESS UP, YOUR FAULT!

-DO NOT (I REPEAT, DO NOT!) PERFORM THIS IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED MUSIC FROM THE MARKETPLACE!

-Do NOT (I repeat DO NOT!) uninstall the Zune 3.x software. You will be using it to restore the Zune. What I did here was

trick the Zune software to think that the old firmware was actually the new firmware.
不能卸载zune的3.x软件，你要用它来还原zune。我所做的只不过是欺骗这个软件，用旧的固件代替新的固件刷到zune里面。

1) First, do a windows search (winXP: Start -> Search)
1）第一，开始-搜索（系统的搜索）

2) Edit the search preferences to search through hidden and system files, too.
2）编辑搜索的条件，勾选“搜索隐藏或者系统文件”

3) Search for baseline.cab in all local hard drives.
3）搜索文件baseline.cab。

4) When done, it should show 3 .cab files, KeelBaseline, ScorpiusBaseline, and DracoBaseline. (If they don't show up,

uninstall the Zune Software and download the full 3.x package. It should be around 300mb or so.) Right click on any of them,

and click "open containing folder". The one we want is KeelBaseline. Drag this file to your desktop.
4）当搜索完成之后，应该出现3个cab的文件，KeelBaseline, ScorpiusBaseline和DracoBaseline。（如果他们不出现，卸载的zune软件和下

载完整的3.x软件，它大概300m左右大小。）右击刚才搜索到的任意一个文件，选择“打开所在文件夹”。把里面的“KeelBaseline.cab“ 复

制到桌面。

5) Find a download (If you don't already have the file) for the Zune 1.4 firmware. You can find this on a lot of 2.x

downgrade .
5）下载1.4固件，这个能在很多2.1的降级教程里面找到。

6) Once you have the old firmware file, rename it to KeelBaseline.cab (be careful not to name it KeelBaseline.cab.cab!)
6）如果你有旧的1.4固件，把它从命名为KeelBaseline.cab（注意不要改成be careful not to name it KeelBaseline.cab.cab!）

7) Drag the old firmware (the one you just renamed) into the folder where KeelBaseline.cab once was (C:\Documents and

Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Zune\Firmware Updates).
把从命名的文件复制到刚才搜索到文件的的那个目录里面，替换旧的KeelBaseline.cab。

8) Close all open windows.
8）关闭所有窗口。

-This part of the tutorial will erase all of the contents on your Zune device. DO NOT (I REPEAT, DO NOT!) PERFORM THIS IF YOU

HAVE PURCHASED MUSIC FROM THE MARKETPLACE!

-Your Zune should not be plugged in to the computer until the tutorial tells you to plug it in.
你的zune不能插到电脑里面直到教程叫你插。

1) Shut down your zune by holding the back and down buttons.
按着”back返回“和”down下“关闭zune。

2) Restart it by pressing the play button.
按着”play播放“打开zune。

3) When the Zune logo appears, immediately press and hold the back, center, and left buttons.
当zune开机动画出现，马上按者 back返回 center中间 left左面 这个三个按键。

4) Your Zune should say "erasing content" or something like that.
此时你的zune应该出现“erasing content 删除内容” 或者其他类似的内容。

5) After a minute, it will say connect to your computer. Don't do that just yet. Start the Zune 3.x software NOW.
一分钟后，zune会提示你把zune连接到电脑，千万不能这么做，把3.x的软件打开。

6) Once it is loaded, you can connect your Zune. It might want to reinstall, just let it do its thing if it has to. (Mine did

not.)
当3.x软件打开了之后，你就把你的zune连接到电脑。它可能要求你再插一次，如果有必要就按照它说的做。

7) It will say you need to update your device. Go ahead and click update. (DO NOT FREAK! Yes, it says 3.1 firmware, but it is

not! We have successfully tricked the Zune software! It will also say it is downloading the firmware, which it does not. DO

NOT FREAK!) You do not have to uncheck the "install games" box.
7）软件会说你需要升级你zune的固件，点击“upgrate升级”（不要看软件说的3.1固件，其实不是，我们已经成功欺骗软件用旧的固件代替新

的固件了，软件还会说下载固件，这些都不用管了。）你不需要不勾“install games安装游戏的”选择框。

NOTE: After flashing the Zune, the computer software will say that the update failed. Yeah, let's just let it believe that.

It didn't fail. It just didn't flash with the firmware it wanted to. It has successfully flashed our Zune with the old

firmware! =D
注意：当升级完成之后，软件会提示升级失败，不用管，其实我们已经成功降级成旧的固件了。

8) It should successfully flash the Zune with the old 1.4 firmware! When it is finished, you will be greeted with the lovely

old firmware that you have come to know and love. =D
此时你的zune已经降级为1.4的固件。你会相当开心此次降级。

So now you have the old firmware on your Zune.
现在，你的zune已经是1.4旧版固件了

Go to the Zune installation directory, open the Drivers folder and copy all of the contents to another folder in a safe place

where it won't get deleted.

Uninstall all remnants of the Zune 3.x software, and install the 1.x software from the installation disk (If you still have

it). If not, find a download for it. When it says "scanning for device," plug in the Zune, and you should get a prompt for

the missing .DLL file. Direct the search to the folder that you stored the 3.x DLL's in.
卸载所有3.x的软件，安装1.x的软件。如果没有就去下载，当软件提示“scanning for device扫描设备”插入zune，提示安装dll。指定到你
