We’re sort of in limbo right now, waiting for Palm to announce, well, anything. We’ve had rumors, minor leaks, and insinuations here and there, but not a full-on iPhone 4-style leak. So what the next Palm device might look like or do is still kind of up in the stratosphere.

As such, we’ve decided to have a little fun. We want you to show us what you want the next Palm device to look like. And we want you to be creative. It doesn’t have to be a Photoshop job. You can make a video, whittle a model out of pine, shoot us telepathic visions of what you see (bonus points for that, by the way), or whatever else your heart desires.

Just two requirements. One: be visual. Two: be creative. To encourage this creativity, we’re going to make this whole deal a contest: show us what you think the next Palm device should be and we’ll put the best up to a vote. The top vote getter wins... drumroll please... the next Palm device. Whatever it is. Sweet, eh? Head on past the break for the sweet hot details.

This contest is open to all US residents aged 18 or older (blame pesky contest laws); non-US residents, Smartphone Experts contractors and employees, and those under 18 may submit entries, but will be disqualified from winning. Really, we know you want to show off even if you can’t win. Entries must be the original work of the contestant, those submitting copied work will be disqualified and sent to the principal. We’ve seen all the mock-ups already out there, trust us, we’ll know.

Entries must be received by Midnight Eastern, 15 October 2010. Only one entry per person may be submitted - if you submit multiples, we'll go with the last you submit (so just wait if you think you can do better). We may choose to share some of the truly unique entries along the way, so be creative. Upon closing of submissions the PreCentral team will choose several of the best submissions to be voted on by you, the public. By 'best' we mean some combination of most intriguing concept, most accurate, prettiest, funniest, and coolest. You know, Quality.

The entry that receives the most votes will be awarded with whatever device Palm releases next, be it a smartphone, tablet, or toaster. The second-place and third-place entrants will each receive a gift certificate good for $50 in the PreCentral Store.

Alright, still interested? You know you are. Whip up your best and send it to contest@precentral.net. Remember, you have until midnight on 15 October 2010 to submit your amazing Palm device mock-ups. We'll start the voting the week after and announce the winner the week after that!

沙发，这是一张效果图吧，说实话真的很难看，呵呵。特别是那个物理键盘，太宽了，个人觉得WebOS在触控方面已经做得相当不错了，可以考虑推出全触控机型，键盘对Palm来说虽然是精髓，但现在来看未必必需。

个人观点：继续沿用PIXI的外观，屏框窄点，屏幕大些，为了高容量电池机身可略厚一些。
其余的就是软件上的完善了

说实话我感觉倒是罢了。只有一个最大的败笔就是键盘的凹槽，太挫了。。。
感觉这总比不伦不类，瘦长畸形的pixi强太多了。。。。还能叫胖吗？
