The moon landing. The four minute mile. Bach’s Ave Maria. Sliced bread. And now… the latest major achievement of mankind: yet another win for the webOS community in Laptop Magazine’s Mobile OS Bowl!

% Z& Z( i5 I! ~, V8 h VOutnumbered, written off, and faced with seemingly insurmountable odds, the webOS community banded together to defeat Windows Phone 7 in the final round of voting by a score of 10,982 (51.38%) votes to 10,392 (48.62%) votes. The finals of this contest was the most intense round of voting webOS has faced to date, making victories against Meego and Android look like landslides (well… against Meego it really was). The webOS community remains undefeated in Laptop Magazine polls, having voted the Palm Pre Plus as the best smartphone twice and most recently, webOS as the best mobile operating system.1 v" P2 j6 ?1 P+ s4 A
