Download the DataViz Tech Tool, and save the PRC file to the desktop on your PC or Mac

After the HotSync, open the DataVizTech application on the handheld . o* m+ c6 h3 `; T
Tap on the upper-left corner where you see "DataViz Tech Tool" to open the menu, and select Advanced Options 7 h) u- R5 n4 T1 Y: f6 c
Tap the "Delete Preferences" button (then tap Yes) 2 o. Q) j$ x1 ^2 f
Tap the "Delete Database" button (then tap Yes)

Soft-reset your handheld, then verify you have at least 1 MB of free internal memory (press the Home button, tap the time in the upper left corner, and choose Info) 9 f3 Q2 X l/ ^9 F( ]5 i

Reinstall the Documents To Go handheld applications:
( }0 ^2 d4 c' |; J/ YWindows - click the Tools menu, and select Reinstall Handheld Applications . p# A' B* E- E' Y z
Macintosh - click the Documents To Go menu, and select Reinstall Handheld Applications 0 U/ e. |; y* X8 P+ y2 C
Click the "OK" or "Continue" button until you are back to the main Documents To Go screen 9 l! f* ^6 Q; p9 @9 W+ l0 j$ O
HotSync twice (once to install, and a second time to sync your desktop documents to the handheld) 7 W' ]6 r6 Z# [
You should now be able to open Documents To Go on the handheld, and view your documents.

NOTE: This section only applies to the Premium and Professional Editions of Documents To Go 7, 8, and 9.$ V% L8 [0 R* x9 ^

First, you will need to retrieve your registration number for Documents To Go. To find it, open Documents To Go on your handheld, tap "DataViz Documents To Go" in the upper-left corner, then go to Options > Registration Info. Record the number shown there, and then follow the steps below:

Open the web browser on your handheld and go to http://www.dataviz.com 7 L) C2 h1 v6 c& S4 _( S, O+ |
You should be redirected to http://www.dataviz.com/handheld ~( l) w2 I" U1 G
Tap the "Redownload Software" link ( i! U2 w0 |' k6 J: H* I0 v. \
If necessary, enter your last name and registration number, then tap the Submit button
/ v% P# S: C2 e$ d$ MTap the "Download Software" link towards the bottom of the page
* Y0 Z. u/ F3 n3 _Tap Yes when prompted to save the file to the Device
8 |+ _+ i/ b% w4 R7 i& MTap "Save and open" when prompted
" x5 k0 ?" b% |2 r% c# K' EOnce the download completes, tap Yes to accept the file into Applications
4 X$ S2 c* B1 E3 ]6 XIf it doesn't open automatically, find the new program (i.e. GetDocs8, GetDocs9, etc) and open it . k" U) J# y9 f9 b0 `( ]6 b7 R8 J8 z+ Z
Follow the prompts to complete installation " x$ N8 I7 S' o# L, X9 `! v
After the download and installation are complete, you should be able to open Documents To Go on the handheld, and view your documents. |
