Thank you for contacting Palm Technical Support. My name is Chrystyn. We understand that you have a Treo™ 680 and you found that there is an update released for the unlocked version of the device. You want to know if you are able to update your device with this version. You also want to know why the enhance ringtone support is only from web or received from friends.

with regard to your email, the update for the Treo 680 that was released in the US is only compatible with the Treo 680 unlocked version released within US. (港版未適用呢)The update for Treo 680 unlocked version released in Asia Pacific is not yet available.(咁即是何時呢？)   The same would also be for the Chinese version of the Treo 680. We regret that we are unable to provide the specific date as to if or when the update would be available for the Chinese version.

( L6 i; ?1 b! K) }If you were going to install the update on your device, it would remove the built-in Chinese software and void the warranty of the device. We do not recommend that you install the updater on your device to avoid any incompatibility issues on your smarpthone.

& @2 R" O* A2 [' M, q1 tAs for the enhanced ringtone support, the only supported one is by using the web application or sent from friends. We regret that it does not support the one that you have in the expansion card since this is limited to the device’s available memory.
