用palm Desktop6.2.2在Vista下同步不能备份pm tracedatabase文件的解决办法.

我的机器会有此问题, vista平台上, XP平台上的的4.2版desktop没有问题.

If you follow all of these messages back, you will see that this problem has been going on for a couple of years with no solution to it by Palm.  One of the contributors to this Forum mentioned that he used FileZ to stop the back of the PmTraceDatabase.  I could not figure out what he was talking about, but it made sense.  I have had this problem for several months and I have not had any problems with my Palm T|X, other than the annoying error message.  Whatever I am doing does not seem to need any back to PmTraceDatabase.  I found the following instructions on another Forum (Forum.Brighthand.com) on how to solve this problem:

2. After installing the software on your device, Launch FileZ and tap on [ View and Edit Files ].

3. Open the Internal folder and tap [ pmTraceDatabase ] to put a check mark beside the file.

4. Tap [ Details ].

5. Tap on the “Attrs” tab, uncheck the “Backup” attribute then tap [ Save].

I followed these instructions and it worked.  This is the first time in four months that I got a message after syncing that it was successful.  FileZ is freeware.  No cost to download.

% }% [, B0 u8 ~8 N% G- ^% W4 f意思就是用resco explorer等文件管理程序找到internal(内部文件夹)里的 pm Tracedatabase这个文件,选择详细信息,然后更改属性为不备份.下次同步就没错了.

我也遇到这个问题，把backup属性改一下就可以了，据说是桌面软件升级的bug

我的Vista是旗舰版的，没发现楼主所说的问题。不知楼主装的是什么版本的？
