用palm Desktop6.2.2在Vista下同步不能备份pm tracedatabase文件的解决办法.

我的机器会有此问题, vista平台上, XP平台上的的4.2版desktop没有问题.

V- v% kIf you follow all of these messages back, you will see that this problem has been going on for a couple of years with no solution to it by Palm.  One of the contributors to this Forum mentioned that he used FileZ to stop the back of the PmTraceDatabase.  I could not figure out what he was talking about, but it made sense.  I have had this problem for several months and I have not had any problems with my Palm T|X, other than the annoying error message.  Whatever I am doing does not seem to need any back to PmTraceDatabase.  I found the following instructions on another Forum (Forum.Brighthand.com) on how to solve this problem:

Please follow the below steps to resolve the issue:

& ^* w7 t5 ^4 i# f0 i3 J1 I9 M1. Download and install FileZ from www.Palmgear.com or http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/filez.shtml .

* b* b1 n' G3 k' e7 m& w2. After installing the software on your device, Launch FileZ and tap on [ View and Edit Files ].


2 T( C# N$ b5 a7 _9 m8 I3. Open the Internal folder and tap [ pmTraceDatabase ] to put a check mark beside the file.

4. Tap [ Details ].

5. Tap on the “Attrs” tab, uncheck the “Backup” attribute then tap [ Save].

; M$ f% Y' c, l) q% y8 J6 ~( m4 [I followed these instructions and it worked.  This is the first time in four months that I got a message after syncing that it was successful.  FileZ is freeware.  No cost to download.

2 P& s, M  @7 K' L意思就是用resco explorer等文件管理程序找到internal(内部文件夹)里的 pm Tracedatabase这个文件,选择详细信息,然后更改属性为不备份.下次同步就没错了.
一种掩耳盗铃的做法. 至于为什么会导致此问题, 没有找到答案.有知道的朋友分享下.谢谢

我也遇到这个问题，把backup属性改一下就可以了，据说是桌面软件升级的bug

我的Vista是旗舰版的，没发现楼主所说的问题。不知楼主装的是什么版本的？
