[软硬件讨论] USB charging for PEG-EB40 (external battery for UX40 and UX50)

If you are still using UX40 or UX50, you will sure find that the battery life of these units really give it away. That is why Sony came up with another way of “make you pay” device: PEG-EB40. With this external battery, the battery life of your device should last for 2~3 times longer. However, EB40 is not only bulky, but also requires the cradle to charge. Unlike other Palm or Clie devices, the cradle for UX series only serves the purpose of charging, nothing else. Therefore, all UX users have to bring along their charger and cradle for their trip for charging both UX and EB40. For this reason, making both UX and EB40 to have USB charging capability is really convenient. However, this is only advisable to those units that have no more warranty.  : e' ^" @9 b( m& d  N% h$ A7 t% R

At the same time, it can charge your UX device as well. Please note that charging from USB cable takes a longer time due to the current supplied by your USB host controller is much smaller than your Sony charger.
