It can not play MP3 with the BT handfree. You should install a software if you want to. But it only play mono.

1. Up to now, I know that there is merely software support
2. I prefer using the cable one as it must have less noise

you need A2DP software stack support and a stereo bluetooth headset which cost about 150$
