I am not sure what a non-pro model would resemble in the future as the Centro line is made for the consumer market already and the Treo is reserved for the professionals and business users, however, Engadget Mobile is speculating that the next generation Windows Mobile device on GSM/HSDPA will bear the Pro moniker. Perhaps slapping a Pro mark onto the Treo line helps Palm market their devices against HTC's Touch Diamond and Touch Pro devices. ! m! @$ X4 c# c/ |; B: s

The Treo 850w or Treo Pro will resemble the specs of the Treo 800w, with the major difference being that the former will be offered on GSM/HSDPA will the latter is available on CDMA/EVDO. The Treo Pro will feature a microUSB charge and sync port with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, making the device compatible with traditional headphones. WiFi will be a feature on the device along with 3G wireless on HSDPA. |
